Thank you for this! It'll save me a lot of fumbling around come patch day, as I'm sure to use the in-game tweeting!Comment by DeadlyRamon
I don't make a habit of using Twitter, but I do use Facebook often, and would like to see the game integrate Facebook like it is about to start doing with Twitter. Spamming my Facebook timeline with all of my epic WoW achievements I'm sure will bring great joy to all of my friends.Comment by Trinquet
DeadlyRamon, you can have your Twitter account post to FB. It's really easy. Then you can make this work.Comment by Frailgraphics

It ought to be noted that if you've disabled Real ID, there will be no 'Enable Twitter Functionality' option in your Social menu, and you will not be able to tweet from your account. This was never really communicated in any of the announcements, so many people that turned off Real ID for one reason or another were left scratching their heads as to why they didn't have this functionality when WoD released. This is not considered a bug and will never be fixed as Blizzard doesn't want to dedicate the kinds of resources it'd take to differentiate between children with parental controls enabled and adults that want twitter functionality but don't want Real ID on...Comment by coyote2604
Anytime i try to login to twitter in game, the window where you put your account information remains in gray and cannot log... Anyone else have this problem or knows how to solve it?Comment by RimmaJenkins
IT'S GONE! For a week almost now I haven't been able to see any Twitter account management under my Social tab in Interface. Or any SCREEN CAPTURED message whenever I take any photos.... What has happened? I want my awsome insta-share button baaack :( Make up with Twitter and get back the fun share button it was really entertaining to share my S.E.L.F.I.E.s :(I tried it with /share - someone told it's the manual way to get it done
also tried it with both enabled and disabled add-ons. None. It's nowhere to be found :( I miss my button :(

The Wowhead Client is a little application we use to keep our database up to date, and to provide you with some nifty extra functionality on the website!
It serves 2 main purposes:
- It maintains a WoW addon called the Wowhead Looter, which collects data as you play the game!
- It uploads the collected data to Wowhead in order to keep the database up-to-date!
You can also use it to keep track of your completed quests, recipes, mounts, companion pets, and titles!
So, what are you waiting for? Download the client and get started.
Twitter integration is a game feature that was implemented with patch 6.1.0 which allows a player to connect their World of Warcraft account to their Twitter account to post tweets about obtaining rareitems, earning an achievement or taking a screenshot and post it on Twitter from the game itself.
Steps to activate
- During gameplay press ESC to open the Game Menu.
- From the Game Menu click on the Interface option.
- From the Interface, click on the Social tab.
- From inside the Social tab, click on the checkbox of Enable Twitter Functionality to enable it.
- Following the enabling of the checkbox, click on the Sign In button, which should have been enabled.
- Following this, a Twitter window will be opened, requesting your user and password.
- Once you have entered your information and authorize the third party application, an icon will appear with every item you collect, achievement earned, or screenshot taken.
Inside a tweet
When you click on the icon, a screenshot is taken and a window is opened. From inside, you can crop the screenshot and write a short message before sending it.
